Galena High School Students Sue School District, Beau Walker and Others

A lawsuit filed by the mother and legal guardian of two Galena High School students — one a team manager for its baseball program and another an athlete on it — alleges various forms of harassment, including hazing, bullying, racism, death threats, and child pornography within its baseball team program. This action names Washoe County School District Superintendent Beau Walker as well as individual members from their baseball squad in its lawsuit.

Academics

Sigal Chattah and Joe Gilbert filed a lawsuit on June 1 against Washoe County School District, Galena High’s baseball coach, and dean of students, alleging libel, harassment, sexual and physical assault, stalking, bullying, racism, death threats, child pornography, embezzlement within Galena High’s Grizzlies baseball program. This suit was brought by Brooklyn Toni (former manager at Galena) as well as Dominique Jardin (mother/legal guardian of an ex-Grizzlies player).

Niko Pezonella attended Galena High School in Reno, Nevada, as a catcher on Beau Walker’s Grizzlies baseball team.

Athletics
